A Story on the Wall invites artist Alice Ricard to revisit, in a decidedly contemporary interpretation, the ancient legend of the Carp that became a Dragon. A tale that resonates with both children and parents, it embodies the values ​​of courage and perseverance so dear to Little Cabari and the artist. Here, the dragon draws on Asian tradition: a positive symbol, a bearer of energy, protection, and momentum. This vision is precisely what the Dragons exhibition at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac highlights, where these figures appear as benevolent and inspiring forces.

From this story emerged an original diptych conceived by Alice Ricard. Presented as posters, each panel of this diptych also functions independently. It captures the dragon's momentum, its luminous breath, and the power of the waterfall, conveyed through vibrant tones—a brilliant yellow, fluid movements—and punctuated by Japanese haikus that permeate both the image and the story.

These works inspired Little Cabari to create a collection of friezes and wallpapers that extend the narrative and artistic universe imagined for A Story on the Wall. Each piece now includes a story to read and listen to, so that every family takes home more than just a decoration: a story that accompanies, inspires, and enlightens.
