When Camille Bazil and Alice Ricard founded Little Cabari in 2013, they sought to shake up the codes of the children's bedroom. To break away from everything monochrome, powdery tones and childish graphics, they imagine wallpapers that take the bedroom away from childhood clichés. Like a desire to open the window wide, they generously bring nature and color into the house.

Together, they create collections that bring a breath of fresh air. Full of poetry, imbued with a pictorial touch, their refined patterns showcase nature with a new sophistication. And this beauty changes everything. She takes the child seriously, challenges and surprises him, and offers him a welcoming refuge in which he can grow up for a long time.

A pioneer, the brand is the first to imagine immersive settings for children, giving its nobility to panoramic frescoes for little ones.

Today, Camille and Alice approach the entire house with the same creativity. There's no reason only children should be allowed a little fantasy! The founders of the brand envision each room as they thought of the youngest's bedroom: a space of expression and freedom where we can showcase what we love.

Little Cabari was born from this shared desire to see everyone flourish in an inspiring interior. It is also based on a sustainability bias which finds its reason for being in the slow lifestyle and a greener approach to consumption.

Think timeless

Camille and Alice design their products to be able to accompany those around them for a long time. But considering how to decorate your home so that it survives time is no easy task. They opt for high-end materials sourced in an environmentally friendly manner. They draw timeless patterns with inventiveness, combining finesse and modernity. They rely on the impeccable know-how of talented craftsmen.

The expert production of Little Cabari products and their elegant design make them objects that last and do not go out of style over time.

The power of beauty and fabulousness: each piece is a travel diary

Taking an amazed look at nature, Camille and Alice draw from it a repertoire of shapes that their artistic sensitivity transforms into creative and timeless motifs. The vibrant palette of colors and the pictoriality of the drawing arouse wonder and awaken the imagination. Because that’s also Little Cabari. Bring out emotion. Surprise. Get away from it all. And offer everyone the opportunity to live in a beautiful environment.

A room of your own, just for yourself

From this desire to tell stories and invite reverie is born tailor-made, one of the pillars of the brand. Inspiring a true desire, to please and to have fun with everyone's tastes, that's also what Little Cabari likes to do.

Enrich each other: an atypical creative process that puts the artistic spirit at the heart of the brand

Working in tandem, Camille and Alice combine their know-how and talents to create very personal designs that make up the identity of Little Cabari.

It all starts with drawing. It is Alice who composes each of the motifs individually. She researches a lot. But sometimes all it takes is a detail encountered along a walk: the vibration of a leaf, the movement of raindrops on a pond, the trace of waves on the sand. She paints each subject in gouache on separate boards. Because the artistic spirit is inscribed in the DNA of the house. It is a guarantee of quality and creativity. It is also an original way of reconnecting with the Chinese tradition of wallpaper which, originally, was painted by hand.

Alice's paintings are then digitized, certain rough edges are erased. But the pictorial style remains to give depth to the motifs and bring them to life on paper.

Camille takes the hand. She brings Alice's drawings to life by imagining a story for them. She stages them, composing a dynamic backdrop in which the motifs are assembled. She invents lush jungles and abundant landscapes that create desire and curiosity.

Finally comes the color. Together, Alice and Camille define the range of tones, a rich palette of original colors. They love living colors, those that transmit cheerfulness and joy of life.

Each one, with their own eye and sensitivity, participated in the birth of each collection.

Alice and Camille are surrounded by a dynamic team and producer-artisans with exceptional know-how to successfully produce Little Cabari products.

Little Cabari today

Over the years, Little Cabari has expanded its range of home products: wallpaper, fabrics and then rugs, decorative objects and furniture. Today the brand breathes new inspiration and leaves the children's universe, opening a new chapter in its history.

Because adults are never far from their childhood, it seemed natural to reconcile these two worlds. From the child's bedroom to the entire house, there is only one step. And here it is crossed.

Faithful to the French art of living, Little Cabari creations bring art, beauty and poetry into the interior.

The house classics

The bird is the emblem of our house. It is this surge of vitality, this aspiration for freedom which lightly invites us to escape from our routine. It is also the very first drawing imagined by Alice. And the one who inspired the motif of Jazz .

Jazz is our signature print. It was born from a desire to subvert the traditional toile de Jouy to replace the scenes of pastoral life with a living and generous nature.

The Nutcracker calls for play and contemplation of the rhythms of the forest. The playfulness of squirrels and the cheerful chirping of birds remind us of the joyful energy of wilderness. This print is inspired by the Chevreuse valley where Alice, our illustrator, lives.

The Manja decor is the first decor imagined by Little Cabari. Born from a childhood memory, it brings up to date the panoramic frescoes found in family homes. Its spooky jungle invites you to travel and daydream.

The Clair-Obscur decor captures the most beautiful lights of the day, those of the moments of transition between day and night, when nature still asleep gradually awakens, or when it regains its calm just before plunging into black.

Portraits of the founders:

ALICE RICARD

A graduate of the Penninghen graphic art school, Alice Ricard draws the repertoire of Little Cabari motifs with grace and precision.

Drawing its graphic identity from the stylized line of Douanier Rousseau and the decorative flat areas of Japanese prints, it is inspired by nature to imagine poetic fauna and flora. Alice is a tracker of wonders. She loves the exuberance of the living world and the dazzling cheerfulness of color. His artistic sensitivity gives life to a bestiary and vegetation imbued with elegance.

Alice also illustrates children's books.

CAMILLE BAZIL

Interior architect and designer trained at the Penninghen school, Camille Bazil puts her talent for rhythms and color at the service of Little Cabari. Inspired by the vibrant poetry of nature, she thinks of harmonies, creates voids and full spaces to bring Alice's motifs to life and invent a graphic narrative of delicate refinement.

Camille delivers a very personal vision of beauty. Marked by the decorative language of Madeleine Castaing, the avant-gardism of Charlotte Perriand and the sober elegance of Andrée Putman, she imagines products that combine her taste for beauty, functionality and durability to give an extra boost of soul inside.

Camille also designs custom rugs and furniture. She carries out decoration projects for private clients.
